Telangana Government has several welfare schemes for farmers, women, students, low-income groups, senior citizens and eligible residents of the state. Prominent schemes implemented include Maha Lakshmi, Rythu Bharosa, Gruha Jyothi, Indiramma Indlu and Cheyutha amongst education, housing, farm subsidies and social-security initiatives.

1. Maha Lakshmi Scheme Telangana
MahaLakshmi Targeted at women empowerment. Identified benefits of the MahaLakshmi scheme include free rides for women in eligible Telangana RTC buses, LPG cylinders at the rate of ₹500, ₹2,500 financial assistance for women household heads as listed during applicant registration.
How to Apply: Identification and registration criteria vary based on which Maha Lakshmi component you’re applying for. Apply through Telangana government or local channels if notified as eligible and keep Aadhaar and ration card details ready for registration.
Last date: There is no universal last date for applying to Maha Lakshmi scheme components statewide currently.
2. Rythu Bharosa 2026
Rythu Bharosa Benefits are extended as investment assistance to farmers in Telangana. Per government, assistance increased from the previous amount to ₹12,000 per acre per year, distributed in installments meant to support farmers at key points during crop seasons.
Eligibility: Farmers who meet eligibility criteria laid out by the government for the Rythu Bharosa scheme.
How to apply: Farmer details are authenticated by agriculture/government departments overseeing implementation. Check your land and beneficiary information with your local Agriculture Department or governance body.
Last date: Rythu Bharosa payments do not have a set statewide application date. Installments are based on government crop season and payment cycles.
3. Gruha Jyothi Scheme
Under this scheme, eligible families can get electricity charges waived for the first 200 units consumed each month. According to official Telangana district scheme details, registration is done using Aadhaar after verifying ownership with a valid Food Security Card. Applications should be sent using Praja Palana or other authorised channels.
Important: Electricity unit consumption above 200 will be billed at the normal rate.
4. Indiramma Indlu Scheme
Indiramma Indlu is Telangana government’s main housing scheme for eligible families in need of a home. Official scheme details state that eligible house construction is eligible for ₹5 lakh in assistance, subject to fulfilment of beneficiary criteria and norms set by implementation agencies.
Keep in mind that application windows may be announced for specific geographic areas. The Telangana Housing Board (THB) sent out a notice in August 2022 inviting Indiramma Indluapplications for houses in select Hyderabad areas. Applications were accepted at MeeSeva centres and had a deadline of September 3, 2022 for that THB notification.
Applicants should keep an eye out for such notices rather than wait for a “national level” deadline for all Indiramma Indlu applications.
5. Cheyutha Scheme
Cheyutha offers Rajiv Aarogyasri health care assistance. According to Cheyutha Scheme details on the Telangana government website, eligible families can receive healthcare coverage of up to ₹10 lakh. There are also several medical packages offered through empanelled hospitals.
